TheHolyMongolEmpire Says:
May 19, 2012 - The only problem with this movie is that if Im not mistaken, the radio signals by the time they get so far away they degrade and won't be heard once they even get to the closest star, Alpha Centauri.

May 18, 2012 - there is nowt but consciousness, even the oxygen atom laughs with joy. to look for life elsewhere is not to see the faeries. there is etheric plant life on mars.

May 7, 2012 - In other words, we have to dig ourselves out of our own mess. If "they" fixed it for us, we would learn nothing and even likely blame them and many would worship them and so on. And if they gave us their technology, it would pose a threat both to them and to us. Just look at how our governments abuse the little technology we have. Heroshima, Fukushima, Nagasaki, Iraq, WW1 and 2, Vietnam, and so on... There are more evolved people here, but outsiders would have to look at our planet as a whole.

May 7, 2012 - This was my favorite movie growing up. Now it bores me but for positive reasons rather than negative. It opened up a lot of possibilities for me as a teenager in my own thoughts which lead to many other great great things. A perfect movie for the times. But don't expect open commerce with aliens anytime soon. With 7/8th's of the worlds population still held by religious thinking, greed and 300+ countries clamoring for power, it would pose a threat both to them and to us. Sad, but quite likely.
