Jan 15, 2012 - Wow! I like my Suburu Outback 2011 all the more better than before!

EliteMadHornet Says:

Jan 12, 2012 - yes actually. you have to do it manually with a special tool that comes with the outback, it's in the spare tire area.

sikidiki22 Says:

Nov 3, 2011 - you wont be driving the car anways if the battery is dead :P

shicken684 Says:

Aug 15, 2011 - The stationary barrier provides the same results with less chance of test failure. If you want to test a 40mph vs 40mph head on collision. It's the same as crashing the car into a wall at 80mph. They build the "wall" to give the same resistance as a car would. Much cheaper, and makes for a much easier/cheaper study.

lolitstinks1 Says:

Jul 17, 2011 - so why don't they test it against a moving object as opposed to to a stationary barrier?

christophermok Says:

Jul 7, 2011 - problems with speed transmission any1? regarding any subarus?

TheHungryman11 Says:

May 6, 2011 - Ouch that really hurts!

TheJoePepper Says:

Apr 10, 2011 - Of course they deploy to protect your head, but they should not deploy unless there is a side impact. During a frontal impact, which this was, front airbags deploy to protect your head. During a side impact, which this wasn't, side airbags would deploy. This isn't a hard concept to grasp.

SLIvista Says:

Apr 9, 2011 - deploy to protect your head, whats so bad about that, maybe install 2 side airbags? and the deflation is a bad idea, got to think of possibly more hits to the car

SLIvista Says:

Apr 9, 2011 - whats retarded is the car is not running, how can you tell if it has fuel explosion problems etc

Feb 25, 2011 - انا من اشد المعجبين بسيارات سوبارو القديم منها والجديد لانها سياره اثبتت جدارتها بالفعل

TheJoePepper Says:

Feb 14, 2011 - @CrashJSTest Are you watching a different video? lol, the side of the car wasn't touched. Maybe you are thinking of the fender that was damaged in the frontal impact?

TheJoePepper Says:

Jan 30, 2011 - This car fails this test. The side airbags should not have deployed in this type of crash. They should be unfired, so that in the case of a side impact that occurs after the initial frontal impact, they will still protect the occupants.

joewillgo Says:

Jan 18, 2011 - I agree, if they did that, think of all the people that could of survived a car crash.

Nov 17, 2010 - Subaru Crashback :)

RavetodaGrave Says:

Oct 28, 2010 - they should make a law so every car has to have a 5 star safety rating

jeswinv Says:

Oct 24, 2010 - isnt it weird that an emergency brake system is electrical? now once these things start failing they are going to have to start making emergency emergency brakes.

Kimberlahlah Says:

Jun 2, 2010 - yes. there is a rod in the trunk that you place in a hole under the passenger side toward the rear tire. Inserting and rotating the rod releases the electronic brake and will allow you to release the CVT automatic transmission so that the vehicle can be moved.

Ethanerkul Says:

Jun 1, 2010 - I thought they removed one star? So.. 4 stars?

DamageManual Says:

Mar 11, 2010 - there is a special key for that. pretty weird but still possible. :)

lakewebsterkid Says:

Oct 20, 2009 - Yeah that would suck. if u wanted to pop the clutch down a decline to start it, u couldnt.

wengil494 Says:

Oct 11, 2009 - 64 km/h is too less speed and they didn't show the side impact protection. Also the knee airbag is not available if you see in anothers countrys...
