Jodie Foster's character Dr. Eleanor "Ellie" Arroway was loosing her job at NASA and her career also because you can't just go out and buy an array of radio telescopes so who came to her rescue? Palmer Joss, renowned Christian philosopher__yeah right. Ellie was surrounded by NASA aliens and was about to be eaten when Joss intervened with the fake signal, etc... it was all fake and poor Ellie was being played by the Martian Klan__hah!

The movie is about an alien or Martian Klan evangelist that saves the little NASA scientists ass by playing her and making her believe that she actually found ET life when in actuality the ET life was all around here because NASA is really the National Alien Security Agency.
