As long as I'm using that feature, it's impossible to move tabs around without stacking them. If I turn wrapping off, it's fairly easy to move them around without stacking. So I wonder if the wrapping is actually part of the problem. *tags @operasoftware for good measure*

Even when the cursor indicates it should be placed between 2 tabs, it still stacks with one of the tabs.. The idea of stacking is nice, but it shouldn't auto-stack so easily when reordering tabs :( I hope @operasoftware will finally listen to their users.

Nov 20, 2011 - I can't understand why opera staff doens't want to please a very simple request: an option, in preferences, to completely disable tabs stacking. It has been asked for months, maybe it's almost a year since it has been asked the first time or even more, but they pretend it all works well and there is no problem about unintentional tab stacking. Seriously i can't understand why they act like this!!

Jun 28, 2011 - Firefox's tab groups are confusing and unintuitive. not to mention the other issues with FF like mem leaks and crashes... FF has always had issues. This new tab stacking feature has definitely made Opera my #1 fav browser, with Chrome a close 2nd, and Firefox trailing a ways behind. YMMV though.

Jun 28, 2011 - what about a keyboard shortcut to expand/collapse the tab stack? switching to next tab skips entire tab stacks with no way to open the stack purely via keyboard shortcuts. (unless you cycle windows)
